Dynamic Transport Planning are delighted to announce that they have welcomed a new member to the team based in the Chester-le-Street office. Ben Foster, 19, has joined the team in the role of Transport Planning Technician and will be supported by a number of internal and external training initiatives to apply existing and future skills to the sector.
DTP provide highways and transport support for planning applications, providing advice including access solutions and assessing the impact of new developments on the local highway network to assist developers, planners and architects with new development schemes. They work on a range of developments across the UK and are specialists in roadside developments having successfully supported hundreds of sites for numerous developers/operators since 2017.
Gavin Snowball, Director of DTP, said that ‘it is testament to the way the company has grown and developed that we were able to re-locate the company to where I was born and raised and we are now taking steps to further support the local economy by investing in employing and supporting local talent. As a company we have always valued positive and hard-working characteristics and this has led us to extending our recruitment search outside of the normal channels to find people who we feel best fit our client portfolio and company ethos.’
The company, who recently re-located head office to Durham Cricket’s Riverside Ground, are now exploring local education and training opportunities to support Ben on his journey as a Transport Technician as they continue to support a variety of residential and commercial developments across the UK. The firm are also engaged with the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to provide direct business engagement with a number of local schools/colleges for initiatives such as virtual work experience.
The DTP team are currently working with Durham Cricket to support their plans for a new 150 bedroom hotel at the Riverside Cricket Ground as the final part of the stadium complex development.
