Growth for North East DTP Office

Leading North East-based Independent Transport Consultancy Dynamic Transport Planning are delighted to welcome two new members of staff to its growing Durham office.

Jordan Bell and James Ball join the team as Transport Project Manager and Transport Planning Technician respectively.  Both Jordan and James will be based in the Durham office, located at Belmont Business Park on the edge of Durham City, and will provide significant support for projects in the North East of England, increasing the team to seven.

Jordan joins DTP having recently completed his PhD at Sunderland University and will be leading on active travel and green travel initiatives, helping new developments promote sustainable travel options and assisting staff/residents of new schemes to make more sustainable travel choices.

James brings significant CAD expertise to the team, having previously undertaken a hybrid role including transport along with other elements of civil engineering.  James will enable the team to meet client requirements for an increasing request for knowledgeable site design input and highway design submissions.

Gavin Snowball, Director at Dynamic Transport Planning, said “I am delighted to welcome Jordan and James to DTP.  Their roles and skills will enable DTP to continue the ongoing growth of the business here in the North East as well as supporting our clients across the country with added areas of expertise.  Whilst there remains some uncertainty in the wider economy, the development sector remains strong and I am very pleased to have seen DTP continue to grow through the impacts of both Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic.”

DTP have supported a number of regional development schemes on Transport Planning matters in recent times including; a new 650 place school development in County Durham which has received planning approval this week, a new roadside service facility off the A189 at Ashwood Business Park near Ashington that opened last week and also supported the British Esports Association with their plans for a recently approved Esports Performance Campus adjacent to the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.
